Squeaky Clean

This week, my neighbors and I made bar soap. It was a trial run to see if it's something that their women's group could do as an income-generating project. 

Preparing the mold

Boil the palm oil

Boil until clear

Carefully mix in the water/caustic soda mix

Stir

Smoothing into the mold

Let it set

I forgot to take a pic of the finished product, but we'll wait at least two weeks before using it to let the caustic soda settle.
